Yesterday, Blog page wasn't working for some reason, and I couldn't write, waited for hours and ended up in watching Harry potter and half blood prince on UTV action, with the little boy of landlady.

He was preparing water balloons for holi, and I was checking the blog and movie, well, it was 1 'o clock in the morning when I finally went to sleep, and of course got very much late for work this morning.

I wanted to talk about my grandfather yesterday, well, He is very special, but today morning, i got very very upset because of my OSC, Just imagine you are coming , running to office and call your OSC, and for no reason he/she starts shouting about nothing, whole day goes bad in that case , well I too answered him rudely and ended up the call.

Ahh, but yesterday Somebody told me about a very important person, who I am sure how many Indians know about, but we all should know, he is better than SRK, Salman bhai or Aish, etc etc .

OK, so, I just heard one thing about him and I became a huge FAN, well, I seriously haven't liked anyone before in that regrad.

He is Sugata Mitra , a teacher, yes as simple as that, the things we ever have heard about respecting teachers, how knowledgeable they are, how they can change your life, how good a leader they can be , he is the living legend , living example of it.

With a great history, academic records, Passed out from IIT, worked in USA in research, I won't add all the details here, as everything is available at wikipedia page of his profile, AS many people find it boring too.
Also, main moto of the article is to check the awareness about him among us.

I would like to tell you in simple worlds, as my friends told me, he went to a slum, placed a computer and left it there for months, when he returned, those uneducated, illiterate kids there were surfing Internet, can you believe it?

Again, he placed the same computer thing in south India, kids there were able to speak English but in their south Indian ac sent, he installed a speech converter, which only reorganise uk accent, now can you believe after a month, kids were talking in uk accent.

He has  won the 1 million prize from TED Talk for year 2013 for the same thing.


And, the amazing thing is, his experiment was the inspiration for the book- Q&A, which was the story of slumdog millionaire too.

Wanna hear the shoes story??

Have you  ever noticed  a little girl/ boy walking on the street, in the mall, park , holding a finger of his/her mom or dad?? Of course you have, what so great about it, well have you heard those beep sounds when they walk, the beep sound coming out from their shoes, Pee Pee Pee Pee, now got the point??

Well, I personally don't like kids but i like them watching with their parents, cute faces, cute behaviour and those damn pretty shoes with funny sounds which always make me smile, no,  actually it makes me laugh.

Today , while walking in the evening, I saw one another kid with those sandals and that reminded me a story, the story why they always make me smile and force me to remember something very important from the past.

Well, I am very shot in height, hardly 5 foot, and people often teases me for this and calls me a kiddo, the story goes with it. Actually to be honest I have been lucky in this matter, very few people and very few times , had  teased  me about my height, well, that is a another story.

Now to the mail one, during my B.tech in Dehradoon, there was my classmate from Pithoragagh, Mr. Jai raj Bora, well very studious, bright and with a very pleasent, warn behaviour. everybody used to like him, In my initial 2-3- years, I haven't talked to him very much, but later somehow we became very good friends,after he joined our gang of group, which actually i don't remember how was formed.

Well, all I remember is he became the important part of our group, and we realised when we once went to pizz hut with out him, and didn't enjoy the pizza and outing as well.

Main point about him was he used to make fun of everyone , pull legs in a sweet manner with the sincerity.

And, yes, he used to call me a kid, and started teasing me , comparing  and telling me that I should wear those pee shoes.

But he is a sweetheart, found of food, his plates in restaurants after the meals shall be like nobody has ever eaten in that. Once I was upset and I shouted at him for not giving my notebook back on time, he made very cute cartoons on the first page, with those shoes and wrote me happy message.

Ahha nd yes, hygiene, he would always be fresh looking, clean and god knows how many times used to take bath in a day. In the last year of engineering, We all shifted from hostel to the PG's and because all wanted a good place to live happened to live near by places in the same soceitlyis, it was in fron of FRI and IMA .

In evenings, we should to have walks to eat chowmins and sometimes just to chat, and one my friends always used to goto his house and from outside she used to shout at him, and always he used to be in bathroom, taking a bath.

But he is a strong hearted man, with strongest will  power and power to survive, we all unfortunately had an terrible accident, in which he suffered most of the seriously in uries,  resulting him to be in ICU for months , , head operations, when everybody had joined their first job, started earnings, he was still re covering, but he took his time, he flighted and came out as a winner.

I still remember the scene when he was lying down on the road bleeding from his head, but still responding to me, talking, awake !! I never saw such power again,

Also, when I went to see him in ICU, what a emotional moment it was, he was complaining about the injury marks on his hand, and asked me for juice.

Well, He is successfull man now, working in Dell, as warm and sweet as always he was, always ready to help others, listen others, and with lots of friends.

Now, this is the story why I always smile hearing those sounds, and shall always remember my sweet friend. I wish him all the best in life and hope he shall call me on his marriage, ahh, I won;t talk about his dream girl here.

The Mills & Boon according to me !!

In every book store of any mall, there is a special tiny rack where you can see the small, thin, blue or pink colored book, with a impossibly handsome and one of the most beautiful girl in a romantic posture.

A pretty girl, with ear phones , a cute spectates on her eyes, dressed in colorful top and tight pair of smart jeans with designer shoes, sitting in a coffee shop, lost in a whole different word, a pretty smile on her face and eyes on a small book !

Still no guess, yes, it is Mill & Boons, the king , queen, No actually Goddess of the romantic books !!

I have been introduced to this world by my aunt, she was a doctor and with those heavy medical books, she had many copies of this treasures too. I was in 6th grade, couldn’t understand the book at that time , but once I joined college , I gradually got addicted  to it.

There has been a golden history of the publication, founded in 1908 by Gerald Rusgrove Mills and Charles Boon in UK. You can read the whole thing on wikipedia about its criticism mainly because of repeating plots, the inevitability of their happy endings, and a simple writing style.

Now, who doesn't want a smile, a dream, happiness, imagination, We all do , right? It just serves the purpose. If one is hungry one eat, one is thirsty one drinks, one the hurt one cries, one wanna imagine romance and a perfect life one does. !! What is wrong with it? Nothing, its just lies in others mind, if one person is realistic and practice not necessarily other should also be the same.   And Their main target is  girls, they say its nothing in her life , so she read it. Girls are kind, soft and sweet in nature, and they do imagine the world to be a better place to live and also try for it, unfortunately in today's time its not successful but they can use other means to experience it, and that is those novels.   A girl experiences all the phases of her life passed or yet to be passed in the 200 pages of book, with those characters she imagines herself, and thanks to the writers she is never betrayed, broken hearted or disappointed, yet she is more hopeful towards her life and even she doesn't get she put all her goof efforts to make it one.   There are thousands of girls who imagines the or partners in Evey single line, pictures him and love him, it obviously set some higher expectation to him but its not an impossible of illogical thing to fulfill.  If you want the queen , you have to behave life a King first, fair enough?   Some people even says girls can not watch a porn but read the stuff, and M&B is full of physical contacts. Wow, now as we all know the things are obvious and part of life, unavoidable, what is better , to see anyone doing some rubbish? or imagining only you special on in the situation? Even if the fact is true, still she imagines her special one and not like that dirty stuff which everybody know serves what purpose.   Now again, A simple distraction from the current world, which gives you smile , hope and Chance to create you own little perfect world, or being in the real world, with out any hope of getting it better because you have no inspiration?   Whatever, opinion differs from person to person but the truth is LOVE is eternal, its the things like birth and death, shall always be there and we all shall be affected by it and shall love the things which teaches us to believe in it .   Well, they have various series, Passion , romance, morden etc etc for various kinds of stories - read http://www.millsandboon.com/    

   

No LIFT DAY @ Office

I was running towards my floor to swipe my card as soon as possible, I was late, even I had promised myself to come on time, still in the morning, I Slept, gave myself some silly excuses and slept.


I use lift once only from ground floor to first floor and take the stairs, WHY?? Well,

1. Security at the first floor podium checks the bag, if you take stairs, you encounter them and they shall call you, Ma’am bag checking please, but if you take life, it would leave you somewhat in the corner of the space, and can’t immediately see you.

2. Almost all the managers and their boss takes the life, so if you are late, fairs chances are to meet them in life, and you can imagine their cunning smile, they themselves come late but who cares !! Actually once my director was in the same lift…

3. Most people doesn’t take this life…its not fancy u know ;-)



So, Today I was running towards it and I see this poster above the buttons, NO LIFE DAY today!!!

And all my day started becoming worse in my head, maybe I would meet any manager, maybe she would take my bag and I would be late to swipe and blab la bla..Anyway I had to take stairs, I went and like a kangaroo, hiding my bag I crossed the security and took stairs again...

Now, why I am telling you all this is, no life day? Seriously?? I mean why even you built them at first place? You want to carry heavy things upstairs, build a separate one somewhere for that purpose only, and hey, I am talking about offices where 3-4- floor only exist, not about the Mumbai’s buildings, which have 30 floors.

I mean this is as ridiculous as, oh gosh ii don’t have words how ridiculous it is!!

First you, yourself uses a worthless things, they take you upstairs, while GOD has given you two nice legs. Then, you over use it and then complain about it, moreover what about the people who spend hours/days in camplain about no life things, advising about the things, even complaining about the things.

And we easily can find those girls who daily wear those extra high heels and then have no option to use the lifts, I mean anybody can tell/think about the lifts and of course about those shoes also. Not only that , because they find it difficult to move even a inch, at the y signal people in life to hold it for her because she hardly walk towards the life within normal time slot.

Well, you may find it I am angry and blurring about it but no, we have to understand the actual scenario, and count the things which are causing trouble and which are not.



I never could figure out why all the management people takes the life, time saving may be? I bet it hardly saves time in waiting for the life to come to you. And those are the people who complain most about the issues caused by it.

Well, Try it at you office, you may actually find a good prank in it too.

Lunch !!

I wrote the whole post about the LUNCH and accidently deleted the whole thing, 




But I shall write again, that’s called the spirit. 

Yeah, so I am talking about LUNCH, note here, it’s not about FOOD, but about lunch.



I have no idea about the people in other countries but in INDIA, lunch is very important for different kind of people, depending upon their profession, actually I have seen a mail with pics of several labor sitting on the top of the building eating their lunch calmly, however if the slip a bit could end their lives immediately, so it must be important there as well.

Now, coming back to Indian lunch, in government offices, sub ordinates or peon brings the officers lunch ,and they eat at their cabins with some of their friends, co-workers, which also brings the lunch with different dishes and offers his/her boss to eat , no why it’s a total different matter, but yeah it is very important, . Now, they rate their wives or mothers about their lunch, quality, taste, ingredients.



Same way, labor people eat with their groups, shop keeper eats at his/her shop, so many examples



But I work in an IT company, I can tell you about an IT canteen, and the environment of canteen.

Starting from my level, almost all the IT employees lives away from home in some metro city, and experiences the variety of food issues, they miss ghar ka khana, mummy ka khana.

Some lives with the friends appointing a cook, some cook themselves and this is a very rare case, some eat canteen food, as IT appoints good vendors in the campus with variety of food, and on reasonable rates.

I also have started cooking myself because of health issues plus I am a pure vegetarian Brahmin and also I hate when somebody touching my food, you know strict hygiene issues.

At my level, my co-orders who lives away, first taking male co-workers doesn’t bring lunch because their cook only cook dinner, now they eat at canteen commenting on taste and quality of food and those who lives with parents doesn’t want to eat home food, ahh…. Know insane, but ok, only 1% of them bring lunch from home and which their friends eat.



Now talking the girl’s scenario, well, they can’t wake up in morning to prepare lunch, if they do; they spend the time in makeup- yes, true story!! ;-)

Long working hours makes them too tired to cook dinner also, again, they don’t cook themselves, however I know girls are supposed to cook, as it puts them on the top of the marriage material list, also they are most demanded. But to be realistic, mostly are on diet and eat fruits or salad, some share her friend’s lunch and some eat at canteen. But here who lives with their parents, they bring lunch with various dishes and shall offer you to eat as well.

Above this level comes the married employees, some doesn’t bring lunch, and I always wonder do they love their wives that much to get up in morning and cook for them, or is it wives doesn’t cook for them?

I see a SARDAR ji, who was going to oven with a big bag and he brings 6 boxes of lunch, everybody including me was trying to find out what he has in those boxes.

Almost all the married employees bring their lunch and sadly most of them don’t share with you. 

Some actually do, but you have to be friends with them and that is somewhat difficult.

A level above this is of top level employees for them 5 start hotels cooks and serves at office, yeah I know worthless to talk about them

Well, my office has 3 canteens, each with 2 floors, plus 3 small stalls from CCD, moongizines and one more vendor, still people have complains about it, at lunch, they order the item and looks at the one who is already eating.

SOuthindian curses about not having dosa and rasam at lunch, Marathi one about pav bhaji, north Indian about rajma and Punjabi about chicken.

Why does "BOSS" shout?

One of my team member is on a status call, with the a huge groups of people from Pune, Mumbai, Banglore, Gandhinagar are on the call and there is one person who is leading it of course the BOSS !!




For initial some minutes it goes smoothly and suddenly, we hear raised voice, scolding , I remove my ear phones and goes to the person , so many people around also, gets distracted and gathers around, make bad faces, give 1-2- sarcastic comments , Everybody knew it was the BOSS who was shouting on so many people, insulting them, nagging and humiliating him , co-workers, comes, listens, comments and again go back to work.



This is common story of all the IT companies, as everybody know he is the BOSS , nobody says anything, comments or suggest, because may be he/she is the next .



But is it really just FINE with everybody or even should it be fine??



Forget about the reason but there is should be proper way to handle such situation, as they claim to be professional, shouldn’t there be such professional way for it?



Specially in India office culture, it is a common malady, they treat their boss as god, some for promotions, some for incentives, some for good relations, or some just for everybody is doing so they are following the culture.



However in my opinion, BOSS should be treated someone whom do you respect for his attitude, behavior, achievements, lessons, not some fearsome creatures whom you abused in his back.



But actually the thinking is such, the employee today is going to be future boss, and what ever he/has suffered , what ever they have seen they apply the same to their subordinate. Like, “SAAS bhi KABHI BAHU THI “



If you create a culture, you set and example, add new rules, everybody can avoid such things, I don’t think 2 hours anger management trainings can change a boss but the whole system has to change like “SINGHAM” 



Wish that all of us at their next stage, knowingly or not knowingly doesn’t become the same kind of HARI SADU !! AMEN !!

Why “ROAD” of success??

You take any example, quotes, statement, success is always termed in journey of success or road of success, and they say you are travelling?


Have you ever given any thoughts about why always it is compares to a journey?

Well, you might say one takes time to be successful, gets so many experiences etc etc...Fair enough!!

But if you see closely, it is really like a travelling experience, it is really like you are driving you car, scooter, or travelling by bus or walking on foot, don’t believe it?? 

Let me explain it to you, just imagine You want to make tea for you, and you are running out milk, so have to go to a shop to buy a packet of milk, not that is you temporary goal and you have achieve it to be successful in it.

Now, you and your wife is at home and you don’t want to go outside, so you shall ask you wife to bring it for you, no, I know you don’t dare to say this, and in any case she won’t get it for you. This is your first failure, you just don’t try first way to get it, just like to achieve anything you just imagine some options to get it and never work on that.

So, you are going yourself to get the milk, you have put clothes on and got the keys and ready to leave, and this took you 10 mins to get out, this can be count as you determination and initial stage of goal achieving process.

Now, you are out of the home and thinking about how to go to shop, which shop to go? Would you even get the milk at this time? Should you go walking? By your car or bike? You may not have car, or may have plenty of them including luxurious ones. These all things fall in deciding you strategy to achieve the thing.

In case, the shop is near and you decided to walk and it starts raining suddenly, here comes the trouble. Which falls in failure, may be you go back, or finds a shops is closed, then you go to other shops.



Like, there are so many similarities, like you don’t even decided a strategy before proceeding, you may have so many options that you don’t choose the right one, or you might not have even a single option, these all things matters and decided your success.



On your way, you may get friends, you stop by and chat, and that is the disturbance in the goal achieving process. But you cannot avoid it but handle it you way.

Here is also a point that, many people don’t even know driving, how do they go to their destination or achieve their goal if it is similar, then they hire the means, see, the local, government buses , office buses, Mumbai local, they are not actually only transport means but the means which takes you toward the success.



You are not going from home to office but going to achieve you goals and the mean tells weather you have achieved you previous goals or not.



But the most important things is , the smaller you goal is less is the benefits and more the problems, like in small area , there is more traffic issues, but when you goal is big,, you might find traffic at starting on road but later you won’t find much people, or maybe you shall drive alone at the high way.



Remember, Long High ways are often empty.

Reading or Meditating?

We all read something for those who run away from reading books, can't run away from BOSS's mail. :-) 


People read Mythological books, Novels, Fashion magazines , news papers , regular magazines, comic books, or anything else for that matter. So, the question arises here is why every person who reads the same material catches the different sense from it or like different things to read ??

Well, There is a fair reason to accept that it may depends on one's intellectual level, but what about the fact that same person reading the stuff more than once finds it different all the time?

For a logical answer we may say that It all depends on your current situation, you current state of mind, and even your current life phase. And, to support the fact we may add the reason, comics are often recommended by physiatrist when one is going through stress.

Now, here is an interesting fact that you may compare reading with meditation , which may give all the valid reasons and explanation regarding books, and all related topic to reading.

Starting from the questions which are Why many kids, or students doesn't like studying? Or why some students like one particular subject to read and excels it or why one grown up likes single type of books? Or even why hard work, focus gives you the better marks in exams?

The answer the crystal clear that reading/studying is a type of meditation.

They say books are you best friends, well i would say not even that but also they speaks, they create an aura around you, every word you read , you walk-in the internal layers of it, you can feel and enjoy it. One may enter to a whole new world, may experience total different things. As they say when you meditate , experience differs from person to person, same way happens to the reading, when you read , sense/meaning comes different to every body.

Now as many of us doesn't know the meditation and power of meditation same way, many doesn't know the reading, power of studying, and methods of studying. Ignorance of the real purpose is the main reason of the lack of interest in studying, how ever society have implied many alternative but valid reason with it like, schooling and qualifying for earnings means etc etc, which are failing .

Like meditation should be done under master supervision, same way teachers are appointed , a excel master can tell you the way how you should proceed and in which direction one should proceed, same way a teacher can guide how to read and what to read.

In the same way, how deep you can focus in meditation, decides peace of mind, in studying it decided your dept of knowledge.

Since the point you start getting peace of mind you try more harder in mediation to achieve moksha, in studying you starts achieving excellence in the subject.

Like there are no limited answers to the meditation and its impact, there are no limit of knowledge and one may find whole other aspect and dept.
